COVID – Update

Hi there my beautiful lovelies! Hope you guys are doing well and staying safe. Today, I want to update you on the latest data on COVID, the worst health crisis in over a century.

covid

While it seems like life is moving on but let us not forget those who perished in this pandemic. It has been more than a year that COVID began in Wuhan, China. Since then 219 countries and territories around the world have reported a total of 103,293,636 confirmed cases of the coronavirus COVID-19, and a death toll of over 2.2 million deaths. Today, I spent the first few hours crying my eyes out watching the heartfelt stories of young widows who have lost their husbands to COVID. Many were younger than me. My heartfelt heavy and I couldn’t stop thinking about how people’s lives have been changed due to COVID. I lost my uncle and granduncle and saw many of my extended family get infected. At the same time, I have watched my loved ones with pre-existing conditions with increase morbidity due to lack of adequate care due to the COVID restrictions. Currently, over 74.9 million have recovered from the virus and over 26 million are with active cases of COVID.

In the United States alone, over 26.6 million Americans have been infected with coronavirus COVID and over 450,000 Americans have lost their lives to this disease. In addition, 16.3 million have recovered from the virus with 19.9 cases of COVID. In this past year so much has changed and so many loved ones have cherished due to COVID. I will end by honoring the over 450K Americans and over 2.2 million people worldwide who lost their lives to COVID. May they all rest in peace, and may their memories be a blessing.

CAUSES CLOSE TO MY HEART

PLEASE DONATE DIRECTLY TO THE ORGANIZATIONS THROUGH MY FUNDRAISING LINKS:

I consider myself fortunate to have good health, a full-time job, and a roof over my head. However, there are still so many people who are struggling to put food on their tables. Please join me to help those who are struggling. If you have good health, full-time jobs, and a roof over your head, please join me to help those who are struggling. Whether you donate $5 or $500, you will make a huge difference in someone’s life.

No Kid Hungry:

America’s kids need us. The coronavirus is closing schools nationwide, and millions of vulnerable children are losing the school meals they depend on. For some, it’s the only food they’ll receive on a given day. We have a plan to feed kids, but we need your help today to continue our work to ensure every kid gets three meals a day. You can click above to donate to my gofundme page donation going directly to the organization, or you can click on the direct link to the site.

Food Bank of Maryland:

Help make sure all hungry Marylanders have reliable access to nutritious food when you join Sustainers Circle.

Manna Food Center:

PLEASE DONATION ANY AMOUNT YOU CAN AND SHARE THE POST WITH EVERYONE YOU KNOW.

Manna Food Center, a nonprofit organization, strives to eliminate hunger in Montgomery County through food distribution, education, and advocacy. Millions of children go to bed hungry in America every year, sadly it’s worse now! Today, 14 million children regularly miss meals — three times more than during the Great Recession and five times more than before the pandemic.

Many parents have lost their job during the pandemic. Sadly, that shows no sign of stopping. Your donation can bring relief to the millions worried about where their next meal will come from. It’s even worse for Latino and Black families, whose rates of nutrition insecurity have spiked to 25% and 30%. In the world’s wealthiest country, this is unconscionable.

Even before the pandemic, the U.S. Department of Agriculture estimated 37 million people in America struggled with hunger and nutrition. The Centers for Disease Control reports 76% of people killed by COVID-19 had at least one underlying condition, most of which were diet-related. Diet-related diseases also fuel skyrocketing health care costs, which rose from 5% to 28% of the federal budget in the past 50 years.

Let’s make the world better, kinder, brighter. Every dollar you give will create real change. $1 will feed 5 hungry children here in the US, but $1,000 will feed 50,000 starving children overseas. Be the good in the lives of many by giving right now.

    1. As an Epidemiologist, I can understand that SARS-CoV-2 might have been earlier that documented as China did not disclose the outbreak in the beginning of the pandemic. However, let’s not jump the gun about bromhexine. Remember in order to understand the efficacy of any therapeutic agents, the key is to have large scale phase 3 clinical trials. Remember hydroxychloroquine was thought to be helpful in the prevention and treatment of COVID. However, it’s the trials that showed the harmful effect of the medication.

      1. unfortunately, i can’t remember the study that said hydroxychloroquine is helpful, but it’s a lot cheaper to ignore foreign studies than making one. on the other hand bromhexine can’t be harmful because it’s in medical use since 1966.

as a pr specialist who worked almost two decades for the pharma industry i can tell how and when they spread lies. however, please stay save and healthy.
