Hi there my lovelies! Happy Friday everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful day. Are you suffering to bad hair day every day? Then look no further. I will share with you some tips that helped me save my hair from blah and yeah.

Not too long ago I had limp, straw-like, lifeless hair. Every time I let my hair down my dad and will ask me why did I not brush my hair. It was so embarrassing. I would not show my face to anyone without heat styling first. I was losing hair like crazy. There are no hair products that I didn’t buy. Every hair products that different hair stylists told including, Keratanase, Nioxin, PHYTO PHYTOCYANE, I have tried. However, nothing working for me.

After all that trying, I started listening to my hair. My hair is thin and wavy. It did not like any of these products when it kept falling like crazy with all these products, I knew that those products are not for me. I needed natural products for my hair care.

Conditioning: Coming from a South Asian background I have seen some of my family members rely on oil to condition their hair. However, since I have applied oil to my hair, I knew that I had to start small. I applied a mixture of Castor Oil, Avocado Oil, Jojoba Oil, Rosemary Essential Oil, Almond oil, Vitamin E Oil, Coconut Oil, and Sesame Oil. I warm the oil and apply to my scalp and hair for better absorption. I would apply it and massage the warm oil in my skull and leave it overnight and wash it next morning. I do this every other week for conditioning my hair. This has really made my hair softer and

Scalp Message: Messaging skull stimulates your hair follicles, which in turns help with hair growth. It also boosts circulation. Get a massage tool for an at-home too. You can also pop into a salon every two weeks for a professional treatment.

Washing Less Often: I know this may not sound hygienic. I thought the same thing when one of my stylists said the same thing to me. However, washing your hair your frequently often strips of the scalp of natural oils and dry out hair. Hence, go longer between washes by going with a dry shampoo, getting creating with your braids. Your hair will thank you. I love the Ouai Dry Shampoo Foam available for $28, where I don’t have to worry about any white residues. At first, my hair still seemed greasy but I realized I was using too much product. The smell is amazing. I also love Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk ($20) that is enriched with oat milk to cleanse hair in minutes without water.

Wash You Hair with Cold Water: This is one mistake that I used to make by washing my hair with warm water not know that it strips your hair of its natural oils and even causes hair loss. Hence, now I washing my hair with cold water to close the hair follicles and lock in the moisture.

Ditch the Heat: I know it is very to completely get rid of all the heating tools. However, if you are absolutely going to use them please use a lower heat setting. It may take longer but your hair will look much healthier and stronger. Additionally, don’t forget to use a heat protectant spray or cream.

Detangler: To avoid losing my hair of the first thing that I did I stopped brushing my hair when it’s wet. Remember, when your hair is wet, it soft and is very vulnerable to breakage. Wait until it’s dry. Additionally, trying to brush on tangled hair lead to pulling and breakage. Hence, you should use the right hair brush and detangler or order to ensure minimal breakage. Brushes with stiff bristles can create split ends and dry out ends. I love the Tangle Teezer Original Detangling Brush ($15), Living Proof restore perfecting spray ($28) that not only conditions my hair but also works as a detangler as well.

Keep Your Hair Hydrated: You moisturize your body every day with lotion, so why not your hair. I apply Christophe Robin Moisturizing Hair Cream with Sandalwood ($45) on my ends every day in order to keep them hydrated. I have never been happier.

DYI Conditioner to Clean Impurities: In addition to the above steps, I make sure I use all natural shampoo in my hair, which include Loreal EverPure Volume Shampoo and Conditioner ($7.99 each). They are cruelty-free, vegan products. There are no harsh sulfates, salts, or surfactants that can strip dull and damage hair. Once I condition my hair I further wash my hair with apple cider vinegar. You can wash with dpHUE Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse ($35). I use Eden Foods Organic Apple Cider Vinegar ($13.99) with a little bit of peppermint oil rejuvenating the hair follicles and increasing healthy hair growth and lemon juice to treat dandruff. Also, the two ingredients address the smell of vinegar.

Thanks to all the above steps, my hair looks much healthier and smoother than before. I also hear from my family and friends how much they love natural hair and waves without any heat styling. With few little steps, I love my hair. It went from oh no to oh yeah!!!
