The Easiest Way to Invest for Your Future

Hi there my lovelies! Hope you all are doing well and being safe. Have you thought about investing but don’t know where to start. The past decade I have been struggling to figure out a way to invest outside my 401k. To be honest, the word invest intimidated the heck out me. Where do I even start? I can’t afford invest a lot of money. That is when I found out about Robinhood. It’s a free investment platform, where you can buy fraction of a stock like google, Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Netflix for as low as $1.

Based on thecollegeinvestor site

There are several companies that provide free investment opportunities. Firms including Charles Schwab, Robinhood, Square, SoFi and Stash all allow investors to buy fractional shares of individual stocks and, in some cases, ETFs, for $1 or more. I ended up choosing Robinhood. The process of signing up was quite simple and easy to follow. I am not investing outside of my 401k for retirement. I am investing to use three to five years down the road.

My dear lovelies, if you are putting off investment because it’s intimidating, or you don’t think you have enough to invest then check out the above firms. Hopefully, the investment process will be simple and smooth for you and you will well on your way to a better future. If you don’t know where to invest consider the following recommended by Motley Fool: Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Netflix, Chewy, Fastly, Zoom, Shopify, Square, Oka.  Motley also highly recommends their “FAZER stocks”.  (F-Fastly, A-Appian, Z-Zoom, E-Elastic, R-Roku.  I am in no way a stock expert. I have a novice. But doing some research and following expert recommendations, my stocks increased between 0.85% to 286.26%. Don’t get me wrong I have dozens of stocks which decreased from 0.07% to as high as 55.13% since I started investing in late January. However, the one thing that I have learned is in order to succeed you have be in for a long run. Hence, I am patiently waiting. I have learned not to look at my stocks everyday and mini anxiety attacks.

Ups and downs are the name of the investment game. However, if you sell your stock every time it goes down, you will not succeed. Your goal for investment should be at least 3 to 5 years.  Trust me, it’s a learning curve but with patients and doing your homework will lead you to success. As for me, before deciding to panic about my stocks, I try avoiding looking at my stocks everyday and just keep my eye on the finish line and l know that it will be all worth it at the end. I have sold some stock based on my homework, but those were exceptions based on expert recommendations.

Hope you enjoyed reading this post as much I enjoyed writing this post. During this time of uncertainty, it’s very easy to lose hope. Trust me, I am sleepless thinking about the amount of debt I have. However, if we stay focused and stay on our path, we will overcome. I would love to hear your feedback about investment: what worked for you and what didn’t. Wish you the best on your investment journey. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact me. I will be honored to share my experience, as a novice myself.

My Declutter Project

Good Morning my lovelies! Hope you are doing well. Hope you had the chance to visit my new YouTube channel. You didn’t? Well, there’s still time. Do it now. I would love to hear your feedback. I would really appreciate it if you could please subscribe to my channel and like my videos. I really mean it!

Now that part is taken care of today I will take you to a virtual trip with me to declutter. Why is this important you ask? Well, you have know me than one thing you know for sure I am a lazy gurl to do stuff with less effort. Lol…why do I say that about myself? Well that’s true. I like to spend more time in life doing what is important to me, that’s living in the moment. Another thing you should know about me is that I am a shopaholic with generalized anxiety disorder. How does that have to do with declutter? Well, when you are dealing with the above to problem, your life can easily turn to that of a borderline hoarder. That’s exactly what happened to me.

Hence, staying at home has given me the opportunity to do some decluttering. I have a long way to go but at least I have started! The very first place that I have started is the kitchen. Please check out my above video where I showed a glimpse of my decluttering project. First of all storage boxes, shelf organizer, labels, and drawer dividers have been my lifesaver. I have ADD and memory issue (from medicine side effect). Hence, forgetting is a common part of my life. This is where labeling has come in very handy for me.

My mom always tells me, if my head wasn’t attached to my body, I would ave forget it long time ago. This is very true. After organization, I would lose (misplaced may be the more accurate term) very easy, and label made it easier for me to easily locate everything. You see, the clutter started in the first place because I wanted everyone on my sight so that I don’t misplace them and when you know that for everything, things can get out of control easily. That’s why I needed this decluttering project as a cognitive/behavioral therapy.

First of all, keeping like items in boxes can not only make your life easier but can also keep your items organized. mDesign boxes has been my lifesaver when it comes to organizing. My kitchen is full of different types of these boxes.

Next, these airtight food containers are another life saver. Moreover, it comes with the chalkboard label and marker. Beside, they are also stackable, which makes it quite easy to stack them and look organize. Where it’s cookies, flour, cereal, sugar or anything. I have them all in these stackable airtight containers and have them labeled so that they can be identified easily. Now I don’t have to look through items for half an hour everyday. It has made my life so easier.

As I have mentioned earlier, chalkboard labels have been my new BFF. Don’t tell the storage boxes that I did it.All my items are now labelled, thanks to these handy little guys. It makes it so much easier to me to locate items.

Shelf organizer has been my another life saver. As you can see the video It has allowed me to organize my spice jars in a way that is easy to get to. I absolutely love new new organized kitchen.

Howe do you organize your kitchen? Do you have any tips for me? I would love to read your feedbacks.

Happy Independence Day America

Good morning my lovelies in the western continents and good evening and happy nights for all my lovelies on the eastern parts of the world. Today is the 244th Independence Day of the this great country of the United States. I am thank you to this beautiful land for giving me a good life and future. I am a Bangladeshi by birth have called the United States my home and country for more than two-third of my life and I am forever grateful for that.

Two hundred and forty-four years ago, 13 colonies claimed their independence from England, an event which eventually led to the formation of the United States. While we celebrate such occasion ask yourselves,”Are we truly Independent?”.

My dear beautiful lovelies! We may be independent from England but we are all entrapped by the shackles of disease, social and racial injustice, health and income inequalities, gun violence. How can we be truly Independence while carrying so much baggage.

My loveliness! I hope still have hope for this wonderful nation. The past few years, we have seen rise in call for changes for the good. Whether it’s the million women march, the Me Too movement, march against gun violence, or rising world-wide protest against racial inequality and injustice, all these movements shows one things: We are all tired of inequality and are ready for change. We are tired of unequal and broken healthcare systems, racial disparities. How many of you have been pulled over by cops for just being who you are. As the great Dr. Martin Luther King said, “

Let us not wallow in the valley of despair, I say to you today, my friends. And so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream...I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.’…I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I have a dream today!”

My dear lovelies! I still believe with those strong words and try to live each day with the aim to fulfill those dreams. All of us who came to this wonderful nation, the land of immigrants, came with those dreams in our eyes. Even though I was fortunate enough to live in the most diverse part of the nation, I still have faced some form of discrimination, whether a boss telling me that I can’t write because English may be my second language, even though I did my schooling in this beautiful nation and am fortunate enough to hold two graduate degrees with honors and several publications under my belt; or stopping my a cop because my car looked suspicious; or even told by many to go back to my country and this country is not more me. Nevertheless, those were nothing compared to all the supports I have received from the beautiful people of this country. I have was fortunate enough to be able to know wonderful and kind police officer on a personal level or even have friends, neighbors, bosses, and co-workers who always have my back.

I still consider myself a fortunate person, whose father worked multiple jobs to provide for his family, and taught us to be a kind human first before anything else. Thanks to all the support, I am where I am and what I do.

My beautiful lovelies, around the world, let us all stand together and declare our independence from all those baggage. May our lives be blessed and truly independent.

Come Back After a Sabbatical

Hi there my lovelies!

Hope you are all doing well. You all might be wondering my big time off from blogging. I just had to take a sabbatical. I lost so many more people to cancer that I just needed to be with my family and friends. Within the last one and half years, I lost my aunt and uncle to lung and pancreatic cancers. It has been a devastating loss for our family. After that, I just needed to take some time off from blogging and see the world from a different perspective.

My lovelies, life is too short. Enjoy every moment of it. Don’t leave anything for tomorrow. Go after your dreams. See the world. Be with your loved ones. I will try my best to bring my views and my world to you every week. I leave you today with the quote of the day.

SpaceX Launches Falcon Heavy – World’s Most Powerful Rocket

Hi there my lovelies! Hope you are doing well. Today was a great day for me because I was able to witness the launch of the most powerful rocket at SpaceX, a company founded and run by billionaire Elon Musk. The rocket,  named Falcon Heavy did not carry any people but carried Musk’s red Tesla. The rocket already signed up to carry three hefty telecommunications satellites into orbit. The Air Force also plans to use a Falcon Heavy to launch a payload for weather forecasting satellites, later this year. Per SpaceX, in early 2017 two space tourists put down a deposit to ride on a Falcon Heavy for a trip around the moon.

My lovely readers, it’s an exciting day for me because it’s a major step towards more cheaper and frequent flights, making it easier for government and private companies to send massive projects to space. SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy is estimated to cost $90m per launch; Nasa’s planned SLS rocket, a comparable system, is expected to cost about $1bn per flight. This launch reminded of the 2001 Mars Odyssey space mission to the Mars. Missions like today get a whole new generation of kids getting excited about space.

What did you think about the SpaceX mission? Please comment below. I really like to hear your feedback.
