Remembering the Victims of 9/11

Hi there my lovelies! Hope you are doing well. Today I will take a short moment to honor victims those lives on 9/11. I know that everyone like clearly remembers what they were doing when the nation changed forever. I was an incoming freshman in college was about to enter my Biology lab class when my mom called me and told me that a plane hit one of the twin towers. I thought she was joking and I hung up on her. I did not realize how true her words were until about later. I remember, while in the lab we heard what we thought was a loud bang was actually plane hitting the Pentagon.

COM 2015 ANNIVERSARY

My dear friends! Being just blocks from the White House, I will not forget the chaos and not being able to reach my family. I was living in my hometown in Washington DC. I could see the flames from the Pentagon from my apartment rooftop. I couldn’t sleep for months and had nightmares. It was few years before I got the courage to get on a plane, and I still cannot look at the sky watching a plane flying low. The world we know has really changed since 9/11.

I cannot imagine the lives of the families who lost their lives that horrific day. Let’s take a time to remember to victims, the heroes who died that day.

Do you remember what you were doing on this devastating day 16 years ago? Please comment and let us know. I would really love to hear your comment.
